It’s hard to believe we’ve been running the Girlfriend Experience Pittsburgh for going on 11 years! We’ve had a lot of new and returning clients grace the presence of our beautiful studio. Thank you for existing. It’s such a simple phrase, and yet on a day like today, it’s empowering. I started working with the Girlfriend Experience with the goal of giving my clients their power back, to own their self-worth and respect. Self-acceptance is resistance, and giving my clients an opportunity to see the power they hold within themselves is the best compliment I could ever receive.

This client is referring to the 30th image in her set, but hints at something much bigger. I see the younger version of myself here with confidence. Boudoir doesn’t take away from the person you are. We elevate it, show you what we really see. Teach you to pose with confidence and prove you have that confidence deep down. 

There is no age limit to boudoir, no size limit or confidence limit. You don’t have to bring a more confident version of yourself. We’re here to help you find it. Their Embrace of Femininity is Amazing

“To see myself smile and have a positive reaction to my body and femininity is amazing. I’ve had such a negative mindset on the right or wrong way to look and represent what a strong woman is and this makes being a mother without a child look like I can be happy too.”

Femininity is fluid. Sometimes feeling feminine gets pushed aside for the businesswoman or the mother roles we play. We don’t prioritize time to be an adult in favor of the other hats we need to wear. But giving ourselves a moment to embrace our femininity, especially one we get to look back at, is a powerful statement in self-worth.

“Honestly, as predicted, the nudes were the best to see. I was naked for a lot of the session it seems lol. My faves were 9 (there’s just something about the back view), 84 lighting and contrast makes my skin look like honey and holy shit 87!!!”

The nudes, you say? But honestly, there is a reason clients that visit us at the GFE love their nude portraits more. Vulnerability looks great on everyone. Our bodies are our temples, the piece of us that has brought us through every moment of our life. Embracing “flaws” and owning the space you take up is the best gift to yourself, and girlfriend, you deserve it.
