I run my business the way I would want the experience laid out for me. I would want my shoot and my product separate so I am not buying something I don’t know if I would like. I would want the best fucking makeup I could get my hands on. I would want a photographer with experience. I would want the booking process to be pretty seamless. The nudes and the implied nudes are always the favorite of our clients. Each shoot you can choose between features a nude look. But please don’t get scared thinking it is a spread eagle lewd situation. Not at all. The nude body is as timeless a look as we can capture. Your naked curves are  art.

I get asked where to shop all the time, inquiring clients get a lingerie and shopping guide in their prep materials. Noticeably absent from the list is VS. I have my favorite places from bargains to investments, I try to be able to steer you toward something you won’t regret. The hitch is they are all online. Which means shipping. Which means shit happens.

Nerves are present for everyone. That isn’t something that you can let go of so easily. They often set in the minute you book your shoot; I hope to get rid of them within minutes of directing you through your first set! After the first 20 minutes breeze by your nerves will be a thing of the past!

Steer clear of clichés. Pass on the white corset. Fuck the pearls. White stockings? It’s not 1987. I have a different spin on bridal boudoir. I take more of a portrait approach to ensure there is a clear line between for the wedding day and the rest of forever images will be showcased in your boudoir album.

Was my body where I wanted it to be? Not even close. But it’s done some incredible things and it should be celebrated. If I’m totally honest, I booked my shoot fully anticipating that I would not like many of my pictures, which had absolutely nothing to do with Steffs work. After booking my shoot, I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find the perfect outfit. The one that hid this, tucked that, covered there. I felt defeated and I most certainly did not feel sexy. I also felt like I had lost who I was.

.When it comes to the photography studio and my boudoir shooting habits I like newness as often as I can get it. I think that may be why I fell away from blogging. Partially because I was giving my focus to the women in front of my camera and because after 8 years of writing about boudoir shoots, I feel like you must have heard this before.

Connecting with ourselves in a positive way, that brings us back to feeling desirable and beautiful, can have a very significant impact on our personal lives.
