The third month of the year might have been the longest month of our lives but I hope I am not alone when I say that I feel like the part of this year has damn near slipped through my fingers. We were shut down for most of the year. Not a single hard feeling about that. Everyones health comes first. I have neglected writing and sharing images here but we have been plenty active elsewhere!

One of the most common things I hear even before a woman sets her pretty toes in my studio is “Will you help pose?” Or “I shot with so and so and they they had no idea what they were doing.” ‍♀️ I’m in the driver seat. I’m fully in control. Covid has changed how I coach and I am not ok with that. I’m still hands on but it used to be even more so. I demonstrate, I direct, I coax, I model....I am in the bed next to you on the floor in front of you.... I am going back. I’m going to look crazy in a clear face mask but god damnit connection doesn’t come from ass shots, the focus is coming back to that face. I pose. You pose. We pose. I emote. You emote. I start over everyday. I posted on the 14th then I fell of the face of the earth. Again. Last week was heavy for someone I love. My purpose was to serve her and lighten her load. If you have any digitally based business you’ve been told to serve your audience. To share and be open. Can I just say I think it’s weird as hell when I see selfies of tear stained faces. Did you just stop and say ‘lemme snap this’? Weird as hell. Not my style. But let me say this, when your world or the world gets heavy; put the phone down. Literally and figuratively. I worked every single day last week. Multiple shoots most days. I posted a couple stores but the feed was quiet. It wasn’t important. Consistently posting work directly impacts my business bottom line. But my personal bottom line is that my work supports my life not the other way around. I cried. Everyday. I put the phone down.
