If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it one million and one times….

“I don’t know how to pose.”

You do not need to know how to pose for your boudoir shoot, that is part of my job. It isn’t your job to take a great photo, all of that responsibility falls on my shoulders. I will coach, guide and direct you through the whole process. I’ve been at this for years. I am highly educated. I will physically demonstrate the poses with you and physically move your hands, arms, legs, etc. if needed. There will be verbal cues as well as emotional direction to create images that surpass just a pose. It is a team effort and we are in this together. This is a collaboration between yourself and I. All you need to do is show up and trust me to deliver our best work. You may come into the session feeling a little stiff and awkward but, gradually you will become more and more comfortable with each breath. If we all knew how to pose for any photos we’d like more of the photographs we have seen of ourselves. Just, I would certainly never expect you to know how to pose for a boudoir shoot when you’re feeling your most vulnerable and nervous!! Everything we do with boudoir posing is a progression meant to make you as confident as can be.
